work was fun fun fun!!! i'm officially the new business analyst and microsoft excel is going to be my best friend for the next few months. jae even got me a "excel data analysis for dummies" book. had EA training in the morning at balestier today. lectures were okay but the seafood buffet lunch was awesome ((: ivan's wedding lunch this sunday will be held at the same place and he said the food will be 1000 times much better than today. and BOSS gave me the task of handling project MYD. time to put my relationship mgt skills to good use.

met up with eugene and jiahui for dinner @ Marche. as usual, our lovely babe was LATE !! again but we still had fun chatting the night away!! shared rosti, calamari, paella and strawberry crepe with the world's best maply syrup walnut icecream ((:

i'm so busy i dun even have time to watch any of my videos. and PS just told me last saturday that jon and kate are officially divorced!! how devastating. imagine the impact it will have on all 8 kids. so for the remaining episodes of jon and kate plus 8, the parents will take turns to be at home to look after the kids.

oh and last saturday, we found this really cool place to chill and relax. its a bistro along bukit batok road called Fire Station Hillside Gastro bar. theres a live band and the tapas were delicious. and so coincidently, we met PS friend singing at the bistro. pretty lady with a beautiful voice. she was also the backup vocalist for lee hom and ah mei's world tour concert. during her breaks, she came over and shared with us her encounters with lee hom.

can't believe i've survived the first week of work!!

i enjoy going to work more then going to school. i love where i'm sitting because its beside the most lamest person ever. he makes work so much more enjoyable. i love my supervisors!! both janice and jae ((: its just so nice to be working with them and kudos to jae for EVERYTHING. and i love fridays cause its casual friday!! i can finally wear jeans to work. woohoo~

busy busy busy weeks ahead. but its going to be fun especially next week, where we will travel to pulai springs to reccee for the sales retreat. BOSS said we could take half day off after that yay!

more dinner functions coming up too! my first ever dinner was @ Roland Restaurant tgt with all the BBMs. 8 course meal, beer, karaoke and more beer! got to see all the managers let their ties loose and go crazy the whole night, especially BOSS!

if theres one group of people i know who will always be there for me, its none other than dzyzd. di is on the other side of the globe, so this year, i celebrated my 22nd with yogs. had our usual hot pot sesh, this time at M-HOTEL. beats all the other steamboat places which we went in the past. worth every money that they charged. the soup was damn good la, we ordered half chicken half laksa. the laksa soup was really good. huge variety of food to choose from; scallops, pomfret, noodles and delicious fried mantou too.

dinner was great, but the cam whoring was even better. i think it was the most number of photos we ever took on a single day.

our 2nd class bbq at east coast park. so glad that almost half the class was able to make it today. and i wanna give credit to ADRIENNE for planning everything, from the booking of the pit to the preparation of ALL the food. you really have to admire this jie mei of mine sometimes. THANX BABE!!

and there was a surprise bdae cake from them. a lovely chocolate cake from bakerzin. wasn't really expecting anything so i was really surprise when i saw the two fels carrying the cake and everybody started to sing. super touched la. and it was hilarious when the guys were busy trying to block the candle from the wind.

and the worst part of the day came.. chocolate cake smeared on my face. the last thing that i ever want to happen. needless to say, it was definitely the guys' idea. they just grabbed my hands and started smearing cake all over my face. they even stuffed the cake right into my mouth la.

but i really appreciate everything they've done today.

i'm happy because

1) I GOT A NEW HANDPHONE!! (the story behind how i lost my 2nd handphone is crap and unbelievable) btw, i lost two handphones in 6 months. and this time i can't even claim insurance for it )): at least i could still claim abitt of money when i lost my phone at kl last dec

2) i FINALLY got to meet up with YOGZ for some catching up session. so many things going on in her life and i dun even know abt it. tsk. and if all goes well as planned, i might be going for a (second grad trip) to BANGKOK with her.

3) i received a birthday card from DIANA whos like at the other side of the globe!! you will not believe how pretty the bdae card is. its a customized me-to-you bear bdae card. its really beautiful, i'm not kidding.. the words and pictures are not hand written, but printed on the card. just like any card which you'll find in the shops

4) my first bdae celebration in 2009 with family at ah ma's house. delicious home cooked food and even better company. and pretty balloons from kuzzins. lol

5) I finally watched finish the entire Boys Over Flower. and i did it in 4 days. episodes after episodes, its really good. it really brings me back to my secondary days when i went head over heels over the taiwan version. and now, its like i found my second love again. haha. GU JUN PYO (: downloaded the entire soundtrack into my mp3 too and i'm going to buy the dvd so i can watch it the 2nd, 3rd, 4th time.. call me crazieee, but you know what, i don't give a damn. anyway i dun have any job now, so i have all the time in the world to watch ((:

6) results are out, and this sem's results are my best for the entire three years in ntu. overall gpa not as good, but i'm happy already. i know i screwed up in the second year because of one stupid reaon, but i vowed never to let it happen ever again. as the saying goes, know your priorities.

was suppose to spend the day blogging about my grad trip and uploading photos on facebook, but guess what! i forgot to transfer the photos to my hard disk when we met up yesterday. can you believe that. met up with A B C (which stands for aud bel ching btw) to collate ALL the photos we took in australia. i brought my hard disk along, and in the end, i only transferred B's camera to it. totally forgot about A's camera. double triple haiz!! guess i'll just have to wait till i meet up with A to get the photos before i can blog about it. hold on dudes!! and for the photos at brisbane check out Audrey's facebook!! she uploaded like a gazillion photos alr

LI MIN HO!! hes super cute, hot and charming. he played the role of Dao Ming Si better than Jerry Yen. but i kinda missed the days when i watched the taiwan version of meteor garden (7 times btw).

DOWN UNDER PARADISE

thursday

met up with TGL for our usual kbox session!! none of us brought our cameras la. we all assumed the other party will bring. afterwich, we headed to suntec city and had lunch at some korean restaurant. (K Lunch was bad!) Then, it was bowling at marina square! our first bowling session together and it was HILARIOUS! we were all noops at it especially boon, whose balls keep rolling into the gutter. and we have sinli who had alott of beginners luck! eugene had the highest score among us. i wasn't too bad either, i was in second place. had a few strikes and spares. jiahui was the funniest when it comes to throwing the ball. no aiming, no momentum nothing. and she still managed to beat boon's scores.

after that, i met chee for dinner! thought that we shld meet up since i'm leaving to australia and she will be going for her mountaineering trip when i'm back. it was so nice meeting up with her. i just love catching up with her too!

saturday

WOLVERINE!! watched it at vivo max together with PS PL PY JC and YY. not our usual hangout, but cathay was not showing it so we ended up at vivo. but the screen was huge and there were alott of leg space. not badd for watching a movie like Xmen here. and HUGH JACKMAN is so omg! 40 years old and still looking so damn good. hot body to top everything up ((:

movie was followed by lunch at Marche. its been years since we went there for lunch. ever since the branch at heeren closed. food was okay only, but i love their rosti and mixed mushroom crepe. went back to PS house and watched the last episode of CHUCK! nbc better renewed the third season of chuck! if not, i'm going to be devastated. we also managed to watch the replay of american idol! and this week american idol was the best so far. everybody's performance was superb, especially Danny Gokey with his 'Come Rain Come Shine' and Adam Lambert 'Feeling Good'. Go watch it on youtube! its really good!!

met up with aud and bel to discuss our itinerary for our australia trip. and i can't believe i'm leaving tonight!!! it will be my longest trip so far (i'll be back on the 16th). but i know i'm going to have so much fun there, especially with the three craziee babes. first four days is at Brisbane, Gold coast. we're staying arnd surfers paradise and will be visiting places like MovieWorld, Dreamworld and Pacific Fair. the next three days will be at Sydney. Blue mountain tour, darling harbour, bondi beach and we're also going to try the pancakes at the rocks!! heard from JC its a MUST GO place to go and eat! the last few days will be at Melbourne and we'll be visiting Great Ocean Road, Queen Victoria Market etc. its going to be so much fun!! and i'm so going to get havianas slippers and lots of chocolates from australia.

and when i'm back, its meeting up with alot more other people, especially you, YOGZ!

i can't believe my EXAMS are FINALLY over. like finally ((:

no more exams forever and ever and ever. praise the lord. i can watch all the dramas and play all the computer games i like without feeling any guilt at all.

met aud ching and brenda at town for our post exam celebration. shopped the whole afternoon and we actually bought quite alott of stuff at the end of the day. but it was definitely a well deserved break. anyway i received a registered mail today and it was my photo driving license!! yea!! i'm kinda addicted to driving now. busy fetching my bros to the station or my mum to junction 8..

and if theres one thing that i hate about my grad trip, its the packing which i have to do. gosh! i dun even know how many sets of clothes to bring la. its winter in australia so its either jeans or leggings. and jeans are so freaking heavy la. also, i dun know how many jackets to bring. why can't it be summer there?! it will make packing so much easier.. haiz. can't imagine how sinli and boon are going to pack for their 3 months trip to USA.

dad called and reassured that everything is settled. phew. now i just have to wait. i dunno how long i'll have to wait.. but if its really true, i think i'll be the happest girl on earth. not exactly what i ask for, but better than nothing (:

i seriously think my mum should stop freaking out when shes sitting beside me in the car.. like seriously stop freaking out! she freaks out at the slightest thing..whenever i make a turn or i'm changing lanes. the worst is when i'm parking the car la!! gosh. its only my second day driving the car. thank god YS was there or i think i might just scream my head off at her. too bad dad went back to china alr.. i prefer him sitting beside me in the car )):

anyway my newest tv addiction got to be EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION. in each episode, ty pennington and a group of designers help a family to rebuild their entire house in a week. these families are no ordinary families. they are families that had faced some sort of recent or ongoing hardship – such as a natural disaster or a family member with a life-threatening illness.

theres this episode which truly touched my heart, and i'm pretty sure will touched all your hearts too. its so heartwarming that it will definitely moved you to tears. meet the Kadzis family. in this episode, ty pennington and the group of designers helped to fulfill a dying man's last wish. George Kadzis is no ordinary man. in the eyes of everybody, he is a hero. George and his wife adopts children with special needs to give them a better life. Unfortunately, George was diagnosed with brain cancer and had only a few months to leave. this left the father of 7 children fighting for his own future and desperate to secure his family. his last wish was to rebulit his home after it was destroyed by a hurricane so that his family will be able to leave in a safe and secure home where they will continue to grow and prosper after he dies. one day before the crew came to surprise the family, George was admitted to the hospital. and three days after the new house was built, he passed away. though he was not able to see the new house, at least he knew that his family was in safe hands. look out for the performance by stevie wonder at the end of the episode.

I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST !!

omg omg omg omg omg...
i think i was damn lucky that i passed my test
there was no traffic on the road and changing lanes never been so easy for me
and at the end of the day..

tester: you failed leh.. 24 points. you striked a kerb and you never look out for pedestrians on the road
me: (devastated) but sir, this is my 4th time taking the test.. can lenient abitt not. i promise i won't make the same mistakes again
tester: your 4th time?!! (gave a long sigh and stared at the paper for a super long time) haiz.. okay la. i won't count this mistake. give you 18 points... you pass
me: (((((((((((((((((((:
tester: but make sure next time MUST look out for pedestrians on the road
me: okay

watched AMERICAN IDOL and i wanna say its really the best season so far!! there are some pretty good singers and they make the show so much more exciting and enjoyable.

top three prediction: danny gokey, kris allen and adam lambert!!

and this week, the top 8 finalists performed songs from the year they were born. adam lambert did a fantastic version of MAD WORLD that SIMON COWELL gave him a standing ovation. standing ovation leh.. i mean when was the last time this mean and straightforward guy gave somebody a standing ovation. adam's singing was really really good.

and check out his version of TRACK OF MY TEARS during the top 10 performance! he also got a standing ovation from the original singer and composer himself, smokey robinson. i prefer this song compared to mad world (: check out his falsettos throughout the song

THINGS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN

7th APRIL 2009!! this special day marks the official LAST DAY of SCHOOL for me. no more tutorials, lectures and seminars. no more last minute meetings to rush out projects and reports. and the best thing is no more having to travel to boon lay ever again. gone were the days when i have to travel 2 hours to school everyday.

but i know there will be a few things which i will defenitely miss. i guess i'll miss being able to study jap in school (for free haha). i will also miss the really cheap food from macs, old chang kee and my all time favourite MR BEAN )): and i guess the better memories were my days in sport camp, bike rally and getting to know TGL

anyway school is officially over and this means two more papers before i officially declare freedom. Then its off to paradise with my lovely hockey babes. so now its just study study study study and more studying! luckily i only have two mods and they are like 2 weeks apart. this means i have more than enough time to study for both. thank God!

caught CONFESSIONS OF THE SHOPAHOLIC with PS, PY and YY. love love love the show alott. i love the humour, the clothes and shoes that isla fisher wore and bought in the show, and most of all i love HUGH DANCY!! hes damn cute la. and his british accent is omg! nothing the same as i picture it would be when i read the book. hope they have part 2 or sth..

after that, it was dinner with COUSINS to celebrate AH MA's bdae. had dinner at dian xiao er followed by dessert at azabu sabo. PS treated us to the desserts and we ended up ordering like 10 different type of ice creams. only manage to take a few shots of some of the desserts. the rest was already eaten before i could even take a photo of it. i just heart every outing with COUSINS ((:

boring sunday

spent the whole day doing my 311 individual case analysis and studying for 324 quiz. i actually had one week to finish both the report and to study for the quiz, but as usual, i left everything to the last day. was suppose to go HortPark in the morning, but i was too lazy to leave the house in the morning. maybe next week ya??

super interesting monday

my first ever GALA PREMIERE and it was for the show SHINJUKU INCIDENT. darling FEL KOH had free tickets and she invited me to accompany her! isn't she a dear? (: anway was super happy that she asked me along because DANIEL WU was going to be there. (jackie chan was going to be there too, but who cares about him). its daniel wu that matters. lol

cocktail reception was suppose to start at 7.30pm followed by the screening of the movie at 9pm. the stage was situated at the atrium of vivocity and there was this long red carpet leading to it. the cocktail reception was situated just right in front of the stage, so we were able to see both daniel wu and jackie chan up close.vivocity was super crowded that day. anyway they were late for about 45mins and when they arrived, the entire crowd went crazy. koh and i began on our photo taking frenzy, trying to capture the best shot of daniel wu. there was also a surprise birthday cake for jackie chan. and although i mentioned that i didn't really care about jackie chan, but i was quite amused with his hyped up energy and you can actually sense that hes really happy to be here (as compare to daniel wu) but still, koh and i both agree that daniel wu is super HOT ((:

afterwich, we headed to the gv max for the screening of the movie. the movie revolves around the various mob triads in japan and there was like four different type of language being spoken in the movie: chinese jap cantonese and hokkien. not the usual type of jackie chan movie you will expect where he will be running and jumping about and doing all the martial arts skills. he took on a more serious role where he was the mob triad leader. daniel wu's acting was amazing too. from a coward guy whose only dream was to own a chestnut cart to a drug addict who abuses his power. but the movie had some gory scenes too. it was so disgusting that koh and i almost puked our dinner out. but overall, i thought the movie was rather interesting and entertaining.

met up with aud ching and bel to discuss on our grad trip. sat at starbucks for like three straight hours looking for accommodations and planning our itinerary. and we realized that we have a whole list of things to do, but so little time. shopped around for awhile before heading to meet parents for dinner. its really nice hanging out with them. i think the grad trip will be so fun with them around

MOVIES

DEPARTURES definitely deserves the award for BEST FOREIGN FILM. excellent storyline which shows the art of embalming* a body in Japan. very touching and heartwarming show with a touch of humour in between. really enjoyed it very much and i totally have great respect for the profession now.

* the art and science of temporarily preserving human remains to forestall decomposition and to make them suitable for display at a funeral.

cool twist at the end of the show, but the horror scenes were very very predictable. wasn't as scary as 4bia or shutter. but i thought the storyline was rather cool overall.

okay here is the thing. i am totally addicted to jon and kate plus 8 now. those who have watched it must have realized how difficult it is for both jon and kate to raise 8 kids. all the laundry kate has to do, the meals she has to cook for them, the noise they have to tolerate.... its really not easy as it takes alott of patience and skills to not only raise 8 kids, but also ensure that every kid recieves equal amount of love and affectionate from both parents. parents on the other hand must also make sure that every kid is brought up the right way and that every child has a normal and happy childhood .

then there was the huge commotion of Nadya Suleman. Nadya went for a total of 6 IVF treatments since 2001 and resulted in four single births and 1 set of twins. She then went on to have another IVF treatment, this time implanting 6 embryos all at once! and her reason was because she did not want the 6 embryos which was left over from her previous IVF treatment to be destroyed. totally riduculous right? so the 6 embryos were implanted and two of the embryos split into twins, resulting in a total of eight embryos. In january 2009, Nadya gave birth to octuplets, making them the second full set of octuplets to be born alive in the United States.

yup so that left her with a total of 14 kids! all under the age of 7!! to make matters worse, shes a single mum, unemployed, living in her parents house, and living on the benefits she receives from the government. 14 kids leh!! imagine the amount of money she has to set aside per year for food, clothes, education and medical bills. it totals to a million dollars per year. and how is she as a single woman able to provide all 14 of her kids with adequate love and be there for every single one of them. have she ever taught of the consequences before she even went to attempt for her 6th pregnancy. super irresponsible woman. she even set up a website so that people could donate money for her kids. she was also hoping that they would film a reality show on her family (like jon and kate). luckily nobody wanted to do a series for her. thank god. just search her name on youtube and you can find all the interviews about her. see how she defends herself. totally outrageous

but thats not all, recently discovery home and health is showing a new reality show 18 kids and counting. dun think i need further explanation. yup, this couple has 18 kids. believe it or not. haven't start watching the show yet, but from what i know the family is quite well off. the house they live in is huge. just their living room is 2000sq feet! and the kids range from 21 to 1 year old. their situation is thousand times much better then nadya suleman.

i'm so grateful for my parents and words can't describe how much i love them. i never once told them straight in the face that i love them, but i hope they know that i really appreciate EVERYTHING they have done for me and i really do love them ALOTT.

MY MUM just SAVED MY ARSE yesterday. was supposed to have a presentation in the morning. as i was in charge of bringing the laptop, i had to reach school earlier then usual. so this meant having to wake up at 5.45am and leaving the house arnd 6.45am so i can reach class by 8.30am but guess what! when i woke up, it was freaking 7.30am. There was no way i could have reached class on time. THANK GOD for my mum who volunteered to fetch me to school. that meant having to take up 45 mins of her time to fetch me to school and drive to work.so grateful for her ((((: and to my surprise, shes so supportive for my grad trip to australia. she actually agreed to let me go and quarelled with my dad over it too.

and my DAD!! though hes like overseas, hes always calling home and asking about my studies and whether i have found a job already. and i knew hes like busy looking around and asking his friends for help. on the other hand, it makes me really guilty cause hes constantly looking around for jobs for me, while i'm like slacking around at home watching my newly favorite drama serial: CHUCK! (i'll get back to that). and although i know that he objects to the idea of me going for my grad trip, he still agrees ultimately in the end.

but still i'm so happy to have parents like them.

and CHUCK is the most awesome show right now! finished the entire season 1 in three days and i'm halfway thru season 2 alr. lol

THE MAD RUSH

and yesterday was the last time we will ever see or touch it again. i can't believe that we finally submitted our FYP! 13 march 2009 marks the end of any disgusting project you can imagine in ntu. 50 pages, 7000 words report! it was definitely the most hectic period in the last 2 weeks. meetings meetings and more meetings so as to finish the report. we even stayed in school until 9pm for the past 2 days. thank god for the ice milos to last me through the day

as usual, there were alott of problems along the way. lack of time, resources and definitely the limited vocabulary we had. lol. think we spent half the time trying to think of better ways how to phrase our sentences so that people could understand what we were trying to say. the worst was trying to think of reasons why our hypothesis got rejected. we actually started on our discussion (which was the most important part of the report) three days before the deadline.

i admit we were very last minute, but who isn't right?? we met super early yest morning hoping to quickly finish our project and submit it before our prof goes home. worst was we haven't even started on our limitations, future research and conclusion yet! when we were done with the whole report, it was 5pm in the evening alr. went to the prof office, but she wasn't there. so we placed the report through the air vents and that was the last we will ever see of it ((((:

bidding FYP goodbye meant that i will be graduating and starting work soon. whether i will love not having to do project ever again or i'll miss doing it.. i really have no idea. we'll see as time past ba. but i know i'll definitely miss the times doing fyp with my two lovely project mates sinli and xiuwen. those moments when we will get 'drunk' from an overdose of fyp and start laughing and saying things which don't make sense at all. not forgetting out superb supervising prof who was always patient with us. and i mean really patient. shes really really a very nice teacher. so glad we manage to get her as our supervising prof ((:

but still, i'm glad that its finally over. post fyp celebration next week lol

SURF N SWEAT

We did not surf, neither did we sweat. what was suppose to be an intense game of captain's ball ended up with only one match and lots of cam whoring. hockey babes signed up to participate in this year surf n sweat captain's ball. its been a long time since we played together as a team, so what could be a better chance for us to come tgt and play a game of captain's ball. little did we know that all of us had really lousy stamina. and i mean really lousy. gone were the days when we could complete running around the entire macritchie in less than 20 mins and followed by those strenous exercise up the slope. the days when we could play one whole full hockey match till the very last min were gone too.

we were suppose to play a total of 4 matches, 2 halfs of 5mins each. but after playing only one match, the looks on all our face just said it all. we decided to quit and just head to vivo for lunch! so yup, we only played for 10 mins and that was the max alr. talk about being in the hockey team before! probably it was also because the other competitors in our group were very strong and we sort of knew what the outcome would be like already. thankfully ching's bf was in our team and he helped to defend quite a number of goals for our first match. (can't believe what the scores would be like without him) but still, we definitely had lots of fun under the sun ((:

MAMBORING

met up with 1504 for our usual mambo gathering. one word to describe that night: mediocre. it was super packed, the place reeked of alcohol (which sort of turns me off since that drunk incident), the music was broing and i felt sleepy. we actually started queuing at 8pm just so that we could get into phuture. waited about an hour before we could get in. met shi lai and chermaine there too!! it was really nice catching up with shi lai and he was so nice to treat me to a drink when i told him that my friends banned me from drinking that night. but i know they meant well la. anyway i won't wanna spoil their night too by getting all wasted and what not.

on the other hand, i thought the kbox session in the afternoon was better and more fun. met up with koh and ngiam. we sang for 5 hours. and ngiam brought her friend over too. i'm so loving him cuz he loves singing jay chou songs. so we ended up singing quite a no of jay chou songs ((: and we were all mesmerised by his version of 新不了情 and 恋上(另)一个人. it was really really good!! i dun mind him joining us the next time we go kbox again lol.

i'm so glad i went for church service at ncc yesterday. it has been a long time since i actually found peace and calmness within me. all along, we have been worried about endless problems and also holding high expectations of ourselves. and there is also the recession problem which had added even more stress to everybody. everyday i will complain to myself how tired and unhappy i am wrt to alott of stuff. my family's problem, school, brothers, friends, him, grad trip, finding a job.... but actually, i just have to put my trust in God and believe he will make everything right for me. pastor prince mentioned this from the bible: the race is not to the swift, or the battle to the strong. nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant; but time and chance happen to them all. everything that will happen is all under God's timing and God's happening. theres no need to put oneself under immense pressure and cry and sulk the whole day. pray for 'qara' (hebrew word for chance) and i know that God will put me in the 'right' place at the 'right' time. believe in him and he will guide me to everlasting happiness and peace.

i really made a serious fool of myself last friday. i'm so thankful for everybody who were there for me. especially fel koh! thanx babe for helping to clean up the mess and everything. and tian and kok for sending me home 5am in the morning and making sure that i was safely on my bed before leaving. sorry if i ruin everybody's mood that night. also to my mum. was quite surprised she did not scold me for getting drunk. instead she just sat by my bed the whole time and help to clean up the mess at home.i swear that it will be my first and last time getting drunk.

it was my first time getting drunk. in the past, i just felt very sleepy and the alcohol effect usually just go away after some time. but this time it was very bad. they said that i puked all over the room and talked alott of rubbish that night.

i admit i did went abitt overboard last night. i shld have controlled the amount of alcohol i drank. must have really drank alott that night.i dunno what have gotten into me but i guess its really the whole series of events that happen at home, in school and with regards to friends too. i broke down for the first time. koh said i blurted alott of things out that night. some people said that you usually speak the truth when you're drunk. so i guess its true when i really said i miss ryan. yes i really still miss him alott. close to two years alr but i still can't get him off my mind. koh said she will update me again what exactly i said that night. i sure hope i did not say anything embarrassing too.

and the feeling of hang over seriously SUCKS. you wake up with a splitting headache, rashes on your body, a burning throat, puke on your shirt, hair and even bed. and you find yourself waking your mum up so that you can just find somebody to cry and scream to. anyway continued puking the whole day yesterday so mum brought me to the doctor. was down with a fever and gastric flu. so practically vday was spent at home lying on my bed the whole day and making frequent trips to the toilet. really really horrible. felt kinda bad couldn't have dinner with yy. but glad i'm feeling better today. mum and the bros went to visit grandpa at the hospital. i had to stay at home to rest.

all in all, no more alcohol for me ever. please stop me whenever you see me drinking k. dun wanna make a fool of myself ever again.

CNY @ SQ's house

hockey babes met up at siqian's house yesterday for our first ever new year party together. it started off with chee and i getting off at the wrong bus stop. the instruction was to alight at the fourth bus stop. but we were too engrossed in talking that we forgot to count. so we only started counting right after we realized that we forgotten about it. and we ended up at the 7th bus stop which was like 10 miles away from qian's house. when we got there, aud bel and ari were there alr. aud lost her way too. she almost drove to malaysia la. haha had dinner, played mahjong, watched tv and took alott of photos. it was really nice hanging out with the hockey babes. and i'm really really going to miss SQ so much when shes in shanghai!!

Chingay parade 2009

it was my first time watching the chingay parade last saturday. and i was glad it was with hockey babe siqan. not a very big fan of chingay, but i had to support meichee!! her hall was taking part in it and she was one of the dancers. wouldn't wanna miss that. met qian at city hall before heading our way to the chingay parade. there were like four different stages, so we just stayed at one, which was along connaught drive. the place was super crowded. qian and i were squeezed like sardines. yea the floats were colourful and the dancers were ethusisatic, but there was a point when qian and i were actually stoning. we were only waiting for chee's hall to appear. SO after a looong wait of 2 hours, chee's hall finally appeared! we started looking for chee. lo and behold, we saw her walking along the road. being her usual self, qian started shouting her name so loudly that the people around us immediately formed a radius around us. meichee got super high when she saw us too and she was like jumping and shouting. i really think the people around us thought we were crazy or sth. but still, we were glad we manage to see chee!

CNY @ my house

TGL chinese new year party at my house last friday. grandma came over to cook dinner for us. appreciate it alott. glad the guys love the food. we had yu sheng too!! then it was a few rounds of ban luck. my dad was the dealer for the first few rounds. in the beginning, eugene was on a winning streak. won quite alott until he became the dealer. lol. so it was chunboon who ended up the biggest winner. and he only bet 50cents in every round la. i think i lost $10. THEN we decided to play mahjong instead. the funniest mahjong session i ever had in years. it was also the slowest game ever. we have like eugene and zhilei taking years to decide which tile to throw (and i really mean years! they were so long la) there was also chunboon doing all the stupid stuff. he actually mistook the bird (yi shuo) as a flower. it was really hilarious when he put the tile on the table together with the other flower tiles.

so it marks the end of the public hols for cny )): time passes so fast la. it was quite a hectic year this time. two reunion dinners on sat and sun. and on chu yi, we were actually rushing from one place to another to bai nian. not your average type of chinese new year. heres the list of places we visited on the first day

and just last friday hockey babes met at brewerkz for siqian's farewell. she will be leaving to shanghai next week for a year. one year leh! this means she will be missing out on our hockey outings this year ))): i think i will miss that girl so much, especially that laughter of hers. its very contagious. hearing her laugh will just make you wanna laugh too. sq must remember us when you're in shanghai ya (:

ktv with TGL!! so happy that we finally went to sing k. we went to this ktv along bugis street (not as nice as kbox though but its really cheap and you get to sing from 11am to 6pm) anyway it was really great hearing eugene's voice again, but he no longer sings lee hom songs alr ): now its xiao jing teng! and i just love it when both eugene and boon helps me sing all the high notes. yay!!

after that, we started on our usual eating spree. dinner at tang shui hk cafe, followed by ice cream at shaw plaza (apple pie and banana choc is the best combi). headed to chinatown where we had more desserts at Wei Xiang Yuen. but thats not all, we also went to macdonalds and shared a packet of fries.

it was an entirely different trip compared to the time i went to kuala lumpur with TGL. this time, it was together with 1504. we've been always wanting to go on a trip together. and after so many years, we finally had our short getaway. koh jeremy tianwee leonard ryan and i met at 8am in the morning and we made our way to kuala lumpur. and i was actually the 'tour guide' for this trip. last time, it was eugene reading the map and bringing us around. for me, i based it on pure memory. so you can imagine how many complains and frustrations there were throughout the trip. "trust me, i know"

first day at kuala lumpur: none of us could resist not having the rootbeer and curly fries from A&W. so right after checking into the hotel, we headed straight to A&W for lunch. why singapore dun have A&W )):

walked around KLCC for the rest of the day. koh jere and i decided to watch Bedtime Stories while the rest of the guys went to zouk.

and just when i was enjoying myself, i realized my phone was lost!! bloody hell!!

and so the next morning, we headed to the police station to make a report. i had to like type the entire report myself on their computer. lots of photo taking along the way

shopped around Sungei Wang and Times Square after that. we decided to catch another movie, IP Man. as the movie was at 12midnight, we had our dinner at Old Town White Coffee and then sat at the cafe all the way until it was time for the movie. it was alott of nice catching up and bitching about teachers and stuff.

third day was to genting! stopped at times square as the guys needed to change money.

our taxi driver was like speeding up the hill and we reached there in like less than an hour. it was freeeeezing cold up in genting!!

went to the outdoor theme park. but pity it was raining so we sat only three rides. at least i got to sit the space shot. and tian was like screaming all the vulgar words you can ever think of. the viking was even hilarious.

so glad that di is finally back. so dzyzd met up at vivo this time around for our usual hotpot session. i really like the food and ambience there. the price is reasonable and there is quite alott of food to choose from. lots of catching up and photo taking too!

and as jiahui always say: " Once in a while, we feast!"and so it was our annual xmas dinner @ Outback Steak this time around. eugene was in shanghai so its just the four of us again. and when we say we feast, we really mean it..

dinner @ fish & co to celebrate ari chee and mun's super belated bdae. huge turnout for the first time. aud ching bel qian ari mun azra nurul and me!! before that, i met qian at town to get the presents and cake. surprised the girls with the cake after dinner. i almost spoilt the surprise la but we shall skip that part. pity chee was not there for dinner. but she met us at starbucks after dinner and it was more camwhoring after that.

TGL outing @ Mad Jack last saturday. first time having dinner there. the food is quite nice and is reasonably priced too. will definitely go back there again some other day. btw jiahui has a new bf la! so happy for her. girl, i wish you happiness always ya.

both of them are my grandfathers, but they are totally different. different in terms of how they are living their life now and also their outlooks of life. one is ignorant about the situation at home. not a single worries about financial issues as there will always be his children and grandchildren who will always be there for him. as for the other one, hes not as lucky ba. hes always worrying about whether he will have enough money to pay the old folks home or whether his children will visit him not. as i sit on the sofa and hear him ranting away in cantonese, i could only make out the words 'rubbish' and 'money' and 'die'. each time i see the tears rolling downhis cheeks, my heart just shatters to pieces. and its like a chain effect, after he cries, my mum will start crying and i will start tearing too. whatever my mum or aunt does is just not enough to please him. i guess he just wants somebody to hear him complain. thats all hes asking for. he complains about the tasteless food that they serve him everyday, the staff who comes to his room and 'steal' his stuff, and that everyday hes just lying on bed waiting to die. just what is it like to be waiting to die everyday? will loneliness and lack of money really drive you to desperation when you're old? what if my parents start saying the same things to me next time? will i be able to cope all of these problems?

is there anything i can do to make him smile again?

HAPPY 21 BIRTHDAY BEL

and so it marks the last 21st celebration for the hockey babes. it was annabel's bdae party yesterday. it was fun cause first, it is my first huge outing since the end of exams, and second i get to see all the hockey babes after so many months (except qian). her bdae party theme was the Queen B. so ari chee and i decided to go to the party as 'Blur'. went to daiso to get geeky specs. our initial idea was to go as either beach babes or butterflies, but we walked around the entire spotlight for one hour looking for butterflies wings or straw hats btu in vain.

the bdae girl was a Bookworm. she had like geeky specs too. and it was nice seeing people dress up for the party. there was a baker, beng, 'bai ban', bunny, mr Bush, buttercup, bubbles, bananas in pyjamas and babe the pig. super cool..

self-acclaimed break cuz i just had my jap paper today

and i'm totally not in any mood to study

heres what i wrote for my jap essay

my hobby is swimming. because i have swam for 15 years, i am very good at swimming. every sunday i will go to the swimming pool near my house to swim. it takes about 5 minutes from my house to the swimming pool by bus.

sometimes i will meet my friend at the swimming pool and we will go swimming tgt. as she is not very good at swimming, i will teach her how to swim. after swimming, i will go and buy food to eat. after that i will go home and bathe.

next year during the school holidays, i want to go to bali because the beach there is big and clean. i want to go swimming at the sea. in the future, i want a big swimming pool in my house.

there! i think i'm going to do vey badly for my essay.

5) you wake up at 12pm everyday

omg i'm like dreading every lesson now. it started off smooth during the first few lessons but it seems like the more i drive the worst i become. wth. lessons are so damn freaking expensive. so everytime i go for lessons, i'm like practically throwing money into the drain. how am i going to survive for the next few months!! i so wanna meet someone who will gladly sponsor my driving lessons. cuz i'm pretty sure i'll just fail my test, than i'll have to take more lessons, renew my pdl and that will cost so much more. double triple haiz.

and to all those stupid irritating impatient drivers out there, please stop horning your stupid horns at people who are learning. can't you see the bloody L-sign on the car. will it even kill you to have a teenie weenie bit of patience. crap.

it was a pretty good weekend

saturday was ys and adrienne's bdae party. in the morning, i followed my mum to collect the bdae cake for ys party. and we dropped by SWISS BUTCHERY along the way. in the end, we decided to buy pork cordon bleu and chicken stuffed with mango and bacon and went back home to cook. it was very easy to cook and it very very delicious. the meat are all marinated nicely for you already. and theres so much more food for you to choose over there. just go and check it out yourself. its somewhere along bukit timah road. i'll update again. than i went to city hall to meet my jiemeis to buy adrienne's bdae present. got her a pair of lovely birks. chilled @ yakun for while before heading to grandma's house for ys party. full attendance for cousins! except decheng who is at manchester now. but still, it was great just chatting with them! HSM next sunday. can't wait!! (:

after the party, ys fetched me to boat quay to meet adrienne. though it was for only half an hour, but i still wanna be there to wish this babe of mine happy bdae. and this is not the end, it was ROCKBAND @ tianwee's house after the party. and so allow me to proudly present to you BANDAGE! which includes tianwee koh kokhong andrew ryan and me! super duper fun ((: theres still like 3/4 of the world tour we haven't complete yet. must must train more often.

sunday was study session with the usual 4 and jeremy. we went all the way to T3 to study la. damn freaking far but very very conducive to study.think we should be going back there for more study sessions? lol. but at least i managed to study more than i would if i were at home. so yup it was pretty productive.

was suppose to attend a talk together with jiahui but we got the venue mixed up. so we ended up having dinner at JP. after that, it was supper with the usual 4 at xing wang hongkong cafe. we played bridge with my new jay chou playing cards. but it was damn frustrating. i kept getting all the lousy cards and i lost! damn i need to improve on my bridge! but still, its always these few moments with them that i really get a breather from all the unhappy stuff. thank god for each and everyone of them.

had my driving lesson. and for the first time i knocked the freaking pole down when i was doing my parking! wtf. think my driving teacher was super exasperated. its like my 8th time doing it and i actually knock the pole down!

anyway was doing some reflections. whatever happened at home is a fact and cannot be changed. nobody to blame. just the wrong decison at the wrong time. but i'm rather surprised i was able to hang all the way until today! i have to be strong, not for myself, but for my mum. dad is always away and bros are busy with their own stuff [heyy i know its not easy doing everything by yourselves, so i'll try to make it as easy as possible for you both k promise] and this includes bridging the gap between me and ys. not an easy task i know. theres lots of things to learn abt maintaining relationships, esp with regards to family. i'm learning new things everyday..

besides that, because of what happened theres so many things i wanna do but i just can't. i guess fate leaves us with no choice sometimes. SO instead of brooding, i tell myself every morning that i got to be happy. cuz that is the only way for me really accept the truth and get on with my freaking life. friends' support and company are definitely what i need at the moment. every words, every actions means something to me. i'm serious. dzyzd! you girls know what i mean.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAREST CHIOBU !!

TGL met up @clarke quay to celebrate jiahui's bdae. its been exactly a year ago that we celebrated her bdae @ Brewerkz. this time eugene was not around to celebrate together. anyway dinner was @ Ma Maison. its a fusion of japanese and western cuisine. i ordered a spaghetti which i thought was okay only. nothing special. so i ended up taking food from the rest. theirs were so much nicer. and a very sweet and pretty japanese waitress treated us to ice cream as it was jiahui's bdae. there was even a candle on the ice cream. excellent service!!

we than headed off to Clinic for a drink and to relax. the place was super packed la. and so we settled down and ordered 1/2 dozen X'Nurse Party, which was basically shooters in the form of a syringe. cool stuff. and next time i wanna try the drinks from the drip bag and milk bottles. andrew joined us after his meeting with his friends and even treated the bdae girl to a lychee martini! lol. chatted for a few hours before heading home.

one month and two days to the start of my EXAMS!! thats damn bloody fast. and i haven't even start studying yet. damn, its time for a wake up call man. suppose to be studying now.. but i'm seriously falling asleep so here i am blogging about god knows what.

and so for the whole of the past two weeks i have been like going out EVERYDAY!! (even my mum is noticing that i'm not studying as much). there was the movie outing with family (we watched 'Eagle Eye'), sentosa, abba concert, the roti prata/ice-cream supper with koh tian andrew ruth and kokhong (the guy who practically disappeared since school has started). den there was mambo on wed, xbox @ cine with tian andrew sueann and marcus, followed by a pleasant surprise outside koh's house and dragging her out for supper yesterday.

yeah i'm busy, but for all the wrong reasons! btw i just finish watching 'The Waterhorse' and 'Horton' and now i'm like trying to watch finish 'My Little Princess' which seems to be taking ages to download. and my beloved jay chou's cd is not out yet. wth. so long la!!

theres still so many things to do: fyp, wealth planning project, study for hr/wealth planning/jap quiz... and so many people to meet up with too; hockey babes to celebrate ari's and chee's bdae, yogz for our usual pool talk, adrienne and yansheng's bdae party, whatsmore my aunt is coming over from hk to stay with us for a few days (which only means more shopping?)

i'm so in love with ABBA songs now. the songs are so catchy and heartwarming and easy to sing along too. caught ABBA MANIA @ the esplanade today with tianwee andrew sueann yinxi and david. before that tian andrew sueann and i had lunch @ swiss culture. the guys surprised us girls with a bouquet of flower and chocolates each. so sweet of them right. and swiss culture served the best ROSTI!!

than it was off to esplanade to watch the spectacular concert. although it was not the real ABBA singing, but the group was equally fantastic! the concert ended with 'dancing queen' and 'thank you for the music' which made everybody in the theatre stood up on their feet and dance (:

afterwich we headed to marina square to meet melvin for dinner. dinner was @ azabu sabo. shared a hotpot with tianwee. after melvin and david left to met their friends, the four of us headed to the arcade. we spent close to three hours there playing pool and arcade. and i learned the tactic of playing pool. all thanx to my new 'shifu'

finally! a public holiday after so long. and it falls on a wednesday too which happens to be my longest day of the week. went to sentosa with jiemeis, jeremy, tianwee and andrew. the weather was not what we expected. it was cloudy and windy so we girls were not able to get the tan we wanted. but even still, nothing could stop us from having a helluva time there. we started with playing volleyball. afterwich we girls decided to take a break while the guys continued to play soccer. now that was when the hilarious part of the day came. andrew kicked the ball so damn hard and the ball landed right smack on top of the coconut tree. and so we spent like close to an hour trying to get the ball off the tree (which included throwing rocks, slippers and even borrowing some people's soccer ball to aim at the tree).

and guess how we managed to get the ball off the tree!

afterwich we had a 6-0n-6 with some SAJC peeps. it has been a long time since i ran about so much.we lost track of the scores but i must say we do make a good team ya.haha. tiring but it was very very fun! kinda reminded me of the times in jc when i played hockey with the babes.

met up with andrew for lunch at nihon mura @ The Cathay. i thought the concept of ordering the food was quite cool. photos of the food and drinks are placed nicely on the shelf for customers to choose. you than pick up the wooden sticks beside the photos and place it in a small little container, than you hand it over to the counter when you're done. there are also sushi on the conveyor belt for you to choose. felt that the price of the food is also quite reasonable too. love the place there (:

tianwee den joined us after his meeting at school and we headed to plaza sing to watch Mirrors. The movie was more of gory than scary. but interesting storyline. it was a mixture of exorcist and dark waters. haha. after the movie, we made our way to smu to meet sue ann and had dinner at screme. i'm telling you smu is 100 times more interesting than ntu. and it was quite entertaining to be with them. one moment we will be laughing non stop, another moment there will be total awkward silence. all thanx to the two super lame guys.

after dinner, andrew and i headed to city hall and we managed to get a glance of the F1 grand prix. managed to catch a glimpse of the cars zooming past us and also hear the sound of the engines. damn cool!! i even had a tutorial of the entire F1 formula race. afterwich, we went to Harry's Bar for a drink before heading home. lychee martini!!

a tiring day but i had alott of fun. thanx for everything ya (:

pool talks and kbox

pool talks with yogz are definitely the best way to spend a lazy afternoon. lazing around the pool, chatting our hearts out and swimming laps as and when we feel like it. afterwich we were supposed to study at the library, but because the library was exceptionally quiet, we decided to leave and do some shopping instead. (we know its quite a lame excuse to not study, but who cares right). it was than followed by dinner at ajisen ramen.

nothing beats spending the day with best friend (:

and yesterday was kboxx with jiemeis, tianwee and andrew. whenever you put the two guys together, you will definitely be entertained throughout. they are the funniest and lamest people you can ever meet. so we ended up laughing more than we sang that night. laugh until stomacahce too. i love hanging out with them.

but of course, i also love to go kbox with TGL. there will always be eugene and boon to help me continue singing whenever i can't reach the note (((: so eugene you better get your ass back in singapore and go kbox with us ya

movies+paintball

met kuzzins for dinner at shokudo followed by the movie Mamma Mia. its a light hearted musical which was written based on ABBA songs. i love every songs thats being played in the movie. definitely encourage people to watch the movie.

sunday
met up with koh jeremy tianwee and his group of smu friends at red dynasty for a game of PAINTBALL!! paintball is super fun! we were divided into two groups of six each and our mission was to shoot down the opponent's cone before we retrieved our flag and brick back to our base. there were 4 matches. koh and my task was to just camp behind some oil barrels and aim at our opponents whenever that attempts to grab their flag. the guys did most of the running and shouting of commands. in the end they were the ones who suffered the most shots: their head, mouth, legs, arms and even their... i think it must have really hurt. but it was only until the final game that we girls finally got to have a feel of what paintball really was. as we still had pellets left, we decided to have a 3-on-3 (2 girls and 1 guy on each team). that was when we girls had to grab the flags and bricks on our own and it was also the time when we were shot at the most. tiring but very very very fun. everybody left the place with bruises and oily hair. (the pellets were made of of vegetable oil)

afterwich we headed to AMK hub for lunch/bubbletea/dessert. we then went to the arcade for awhile before heading home. after that i rushed home to change before my bros and i made our way down to meet decheng for his farewell dinner. time really flies. hes going back to manchester alr and will only be back next year ): bon voyage decheng!!

monday
had driving lesson in the morning. omg i finally learned how to park the car. super happy! after that, i made my way to cineleisure to meet meichee to watch Wall E. i know i'm kinda slow but still.. better late than never right. i had never missed a single disney pixar movie. anyway i love the storyline so much. very touching. a heres what a friend of mine was saying just now:

'i feel that simplicity captures the essences of love. like how we always think love is so complicated, but its actually quite simple like that in the show. don't you agree?'

i totally agree with him (:

and so its finally the recess week. really hope i can start revising my work and catch up on all the projects that need to be done. lots of things to look forward too swimming, kbox, sentosa... busy week ahead.
